History of Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School

CMC High School was founded in 1977 in Mt. Clemens Michigan. Edward Cardinal Mooney, the namesake of our school was a very revered and distinguished member of the Catholic Church. Along with being a priest, Edward Cardinal Mooney was a diplomat, civic and world leader and visionary. As Archbishop of Detroit, he was the first to be a member of the College of Cardinals.
From the school's beginnings at St. Peter's Parish of Mt. Clemens then following to St. Louis Parish in Harrison Twp, and later to the arrival at CMC's current location in the fall of 1990 at Holy Cross Parish in Marine City, Cardinal Mooney Catholic is a faith and educational based community of parents, students, staff and members of the parish community.
