Mr. DeFauw holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Grove City College in Pennsylvania, earned in 1998. Before joining Cardinal Mooney in 2019, he taught high school mathematics at University Liggett School in Grosse Pointe. His professional journey also includes experience in curriculum development with Discovery Channel Education and Raytheon. On a personal note, he has been happily married to his wife Jessica for 13 years, and they are proud parents of two wonderful children who attend Holy Cross School in Marine City. The DeFauw family lives in St. Clair, where they enjoy time with their spirited Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, who, despite her tiny size, would bravely challenge anything that crosses her path. Outside of teaching, Mr. DeFauw is passionate about music—playing various instruments, writing, and recording my his songs.
