BIO

Fr. Mark Livingston was ordained a Catholic Priest for the Archdiocese of Detroit in 2018 and previously served at St. John Neumann, in Canton, and National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica, in Royal Oak.  Fr. Mark currently serves as the Pastor of the Merciful Love of Jesus Family of Parishes, comprised of Holy Family, in Memphis, St. Augustine, in Richmond, and St. Mary Mystical Rose, in Armada.

 

He graduated from Divine Child High School, in Dearborn, Michigan, received his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics from Wayne State University, and his Master’s in Social Work from the University of Michigan.  Prior to seminary, he worked almost 15 years in various capacities in business, particularly centering on analytics and management and, later, in social work, including individual and group therapy.

 

He completed his seminary studies at Sacred Heart Major Seminary, in Detroit, Michigan, receiving an A.B. in Philosophy and Master’s of Divinity (M.Div.) degree.  He loves celebrating the Sacraments with God’s people, engaging in pastoral counseling, doing marriage preparation, and spending time with his friends and family, especially his nieces and nephews.  He also enjoys ice hockey, football and downhill skiing.  Fr. Mark is a strong proponent of Catholic education and oversees St. Augustine Catholic Elementary School, in Richmond.  He is most excited about serving on the Cardinal Mooney High School Board to be involved in the Catholic life and identity of the school.
